Club Meetings - APRIL 2007
Meetings in April 2007.This is a copy of a document that is sent to the Scunthorpe Telegraph monthly. They publish an announcement about each meeting a week in advance.
APRIL 4th
Camera Club member, Kevin Wells LRPS, is a college tutor in photography and image-editing. At this meeting Kevin will present the first of a series of talks on Image Editing using Photoshop – starting at an introduction level and progressing to advanced levels in later sessions.
APRIL 11th
The camera club meeting this week will be a noisy affair with lots of member-involvement – it is the Annual Auction night! Members bring any items they wish to donate and they are auctioned for club funds. Naturally many photographic items are donated but other interesting items are accepted and sold. At a recent auction a Bread-Making machine was on offer – with a fresh-baked loaf to show that it worked!
APRIL 18th
The visiting speaker at the next meeting of the Camera Club David Nash will be the visiting speaker. When David last visited the club he ended his presentation by showing some stunning panoramic prints and he promised to come back and illustrate how he achieved such striking effects. At this meeting David will keep that promise.
APRIL 25th
Phil Smith, a visiting speaker of long-standing, will be back at the Scunthorpe Camera Club for the next meeting. He has called his presentation ‘A Box of Prints’. The standard of Phil’s work is legendary so if he produced and selected the contents of the box. members are in for a treat.
