July 1st       

 

Spurn Point  - A Unique Place in England  -  Tonight  the club welcomes a new speaker Martin Lichfield  of Doncaster. Martin will be entertaining us with his images of Spurn Point on the Humber estuary, a strange, remote & beautiful part of Yorkshire

July 8th       

Colin Smales – Looking Back in 2008-  One of the club’s favorite speakers  will make a welcome return to the  Scunthorpe Camera Club.  Although 2008 was a year of bad weather, it still presented  Collin with some super photo opportunities. This includes shots of a new bird which is a new record for Lincolnshire.

July 15th

Competition No 5  This meeting will see the entries in Competition number 5 being assessed and graded.

July 22nd     

LPA Battles 2009 Tonight is our home round of the LPA Battles. This major inter club competition runs throughout the Summer culminating in the battle finals in mid October.

 Each club enters 9 prints and/or slides. These are then judged normally in a three way battle.The clubs are then awarded points. This is progressed over three rounds and finally the clubs with the highest points score fight it out in "The Battle Finals".

July 29th

A Passion for Printing  Scunthorpe Camera Club  will welcome visiting speaker Derek Doar this evening. Derek  has been involved in photography for some 35 years, printing both Black & White and Colour. Tonight he  will show us a selection of his superb quality work and suggest ways  club members can achieve the same.
