Urban Walk - Beverley

Wednesday 08 June 2022

Don't miss out on tonight's night out with the camera!  This evening the club will be out and about in the traditional market town of Beverley.

Beverley is renowned for its exquisite 13th Century Minster, cobbled streets,  and elegant Georgian and Victorian terraces.

For those of you not familiar with the town, go over the Humber Bridge and keep going in a straight line across all the roundabouts.  When you reach the outskirts of town, past the Morrisons roundabout, you will come to the last major roundabout (past the car wash on the left) where the choice is left or right only, so bear left.

When you reach the strange double roundabout about 250 yards after this, go straight across onto Walkergate, ignoring the sign pointing right to County Hall.  Carry on up Walkergate, which turns into Lairgate, and you will see a sign pointing left at the Lairgate Hotel for the public car park. This is probably the best place to park and is free after 6pm .
Meet at  the Buttercross (an ornate 18th century building that looks like an upmarket bandstand ) at the Old Waste end of Saturday Market, 7.15 – 7.30pm; the market is about 3 minutes walk from Lairgate car park.

If you haven’t been over the bridge for a while, payment (£1.50) is by card only these days.
