Nature walk - Messingham Ponds

Wednesday 22 June 2016

During the summer months the Club arranges a number of field visits to photogenic locations. Tonight we will  assembele at Messingham Ponds ( Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust reserve).
Meet in the car park (there is a gated entrance, near the nursery and a track down to it, plenty of parking when you get there) at 7pm.

Expect to see marsh orchids, damsel/dragonflies, kingfishers (if you're lucky!) and lots of wildfowl and butterflies

Directions:-

The reserve lies to the east of the B1400 Messingham-Kirton road. The entrance is opposite Scallow Grove Farm (look for electricity pylon). A track leads from the entrance to a small car park, where a waymarked circular route is indicated.
