Urban Walk - Louth
Wednesday 16 August 2017
During the summer months the Club arranges a number of field visits to photogenic locations.
This Wednesday the club will assemble in Louth. This market town in the heart of of the wolds, is a maze of narrow streets and predominantly Georgian and early-Victorian architecture, It also has the15th century St James church with its 295ft spire
Meeting place to be the Market Place at 7pm
The most convenient (in terms of being easy to find) may well be the Co-op, off Northgate, Come in on the B1520 to the cross-roads just in front of St. James Church (the big one with the poncy spire) turn left into Chequergate, then continue into Northgate, turn left again up Kiln Lane and then right into the car park. Its a short hop from there into the town centre. There is a small cutting from the car park into Northgate which comes out by a pub there called the Miller’s Daughter. Cross the road. head up one of the side streets in front of you, and it should bring you out in the warren of streets round the Market Place.
