Wednesday 01 August 2012

During the summer months the  Camera Club arranges a number of field visits to photogenic locations. This Wednesday they will assemble at Messingham Sand Quarries for an outdoor photoshoot. This reserve is famous for both the bird life and for the exquisite wild orchids, which should be in full bloom now.

Directions:-

The reserve lies to the east of the B1400 Messingham-Kirton road. The entrance is opposite Scallow Grove Farm (look for electricity pylon). A track leads from the entrance to a small car park, where a waymarked circular route is indicated.
